Empart Transforming the Lives of Children
STORIES FROM THE FIELD
Empart provides a shelter and haven for the destitute children, where millions of children live on the streets without basic necessities such as food, shelter, medical care and clothing. They often suffer physical and mental abuse and education is a distant dream.
Committed and well-trained staff care for the well-being of children in Empart’s Children’s Hostels. Every day, they see great changes in the lives of these children. God is good.
Kain was born into a poor, but Godly family.
“My family faced severe opposition for their faith. We were rejected by the villagers and it affected in my education so I had to stop going to the village school,” Kain recalls.
He was sent to an Ashram to continue his studies but there was too much idol worship. Again, he left the Ashram and returned home, but was concerned he would not be able to continue his education.
The Empart leader of the children’s hostel learned about Kain’s situation and brought him to the hostel. Life changed for Kain; both spiritually and physically. He was provided with all his educational needs, as well as food and clothes. Above all, he found a closer walk with God.
“The Home’s atmosphere shaped me into who I am today”, says Kain.
A new calling
Kain graduated and went on to higher education. He always continued to walk with God. Kain eventually joined an Empart Transformation Centre and upon graduation was selected for the Empart Leadership Management and Development Centre – he was so thrilled.
Kain has great vision for the future as he prepares to transform lives in the communities and villages of his home region.
“Whatever I am today is because of the Empart Hostel and Training Centre: otherwise I don’t know what my life would have been. I know this was God’s plan and that He wanted me to serve Him from the beginning”, says Kain.
