Not Growing Weary
STORIES FROM THE FIELD
Empart Key Women have contributed much to transforming the lives of village women in different states. God equally uses men and women in His Kingdom service.
Empart is empowering and training women and they are equipped in many areas of social work. Their life stories inspire people around them. As a result, villages are being transformed and people are experiencing real freedom.
Sruti’s* parents were the first in their village to accept the Truth and abandon their old practices. They were not treated well by the villagers, but they did not waiver from their faith and raised their children to love God.
At the age of 13, Sruti made a personal decision to serve her village, despite some opposition.
To fulfil her heart’s calling, she joined a Women’s Transformation Centre in 2017. After graduation she studied further at a Leadership Training Centre for three months, gaining wonderful tools and understanding the word.
After returning to her village, she started to help her father with his outreach to different people groups in their village; each of which had their own customs and language, following other traditional faiths.
After a lot of prayer, Sruti decided to work among these people groups and within a few months was hosting meetings with several families attending. There is still opposition but Sruti perseveres, does not grow weary and continues to meet regularly with the villagers. She works for the kingdom with purpose and a smile on her face.
“Only good news can change the lives of people. I am praying and working hard to see strength returned to my village.”
